This line of activity covers turnkey development of mobile operator sites, including:

Facility search;

Design;

Site development;

Installation of equipment;

Facility search:

For search of construction sites and conclusion of a lease agreement with the land or building owner, “searcher” managers are employed. Their duties include search of a site fit for construction, coordination of a preliminary project solution and conclusion of a lease agreement.

 

Design:

 

Design is performed by the RD Department in line with the Ukrainian regulatory system and the Customer’s requirements, under the supervision of the RD Department Head. Quality control and compliance of the design documents to the Ukrainian regulatory system and the Customer’s requirements are executed by Chief Project Engineer.

Development:

Under the supervision of the Project Manager and the Chief Project Engineer, on the basis of the produced design documentation and the work schedule, the civil-engineering design is performed. The construction technology and process depend of the site complexity. «E S U» performs those operations either on its own or employing contractors specializing in specific kinds of work.

Installation of equipment:

Equipment is installed by specialized company engineers. Be it a new facility or modernization of an existing one alike, installation of a base station and power supply systems proper is preceded by elevated jobs. That stage involves power, coaxial and optical cable laying, antenna and radio frequency module assembling. Such works are performed by steeplejacks appropriately certified and qualified to do so.

After that, connection and integration of the base station and power supply systems rests with the installer. Qualification of our personnel is sufficient for installation and integration of Nokia, Huawei and Ericsson base stations.

Facility legalization:

The last stage of base station construction or modernization involves its legalization, meaning receipt of a package of licensing documents for legitimate operation of communication facilities, including from the Ministry for Emergencies, as well as the sanitary-epidemiological, labor and fire safety certificates.

Design

 

Design is performed by the Design Department in line with the Ukrainian regulatory system and the Customer’s requirements, under the supervision of the Design Department Head. Quality control and compliance of the design documents to the Ukrainian regulatory system and the Customer’s requirements are executed by Chief Project Engineer.

 

Given the qualifications and present staff of the Design Department, we can perform design work of any type and complexity in the field of radio communications.

 

Dependent on the Customer’s requirements, the complete design includes the following sections of design documents: Memorandum, Technology concept, Architectural and construction concept, Power supply, VAC, EIA.

Technical support for mobile operator networks

Currently, most mobile operators assign technical maintenance of network facilities to outside service providers. This lets mobile operators concentrate on their core activity.

This strategy allows mobile operators to achieve:

- higher productivity;
- greater revenues;
- a decrease in operating costs;
- better quality of provided services.

As a rule, operations assigned by operators to outside providers are divided into the following functional modules:

Technical support for gas stations

Technical support - complex of measures aimed at 24-hours support of gas station complexes efficiency according to the standards and requirements of the customer. Regular maintenance of the object includes works on regular maintenance of the operative condition of elements of the object, keeping the set parameters of its modes of engineering systems (setup, adjustment, replacement of consumables, minor repairs, etc.).

Network services

 

Services provided hereunder let operators optimize employment of radio equipment working in their network. Our advantage is that we impartially monitor operation of equipment from different manufacturers used in the operator’s networks, and make unbiased assessments.

 

 

The service of optimization of radio equipment of a GSM/UMTS network using equipment from different manufacturers gives operators an opportunity of comprehensive analysis of network operation on the basis of information about the quality of communication of all network users. At that, operators can remedy defects not detected by standard troubleshooting methods, discover specific network problems (e.g., poor handover operation), prepare matrixes of mutual interference, receive recommended changes in the "neighbour" lists for reliable handover among cells, as well as recommended changes in output power of base stations and antenna tilt angles and recommended assignment of base station frequencies (including in the event of use of pseudorandom switch of working frequencies)..

Memorandum – a memorandum is the part of the contractor’s design subject to approval. The memorandum includes:
description of technical decisions accepted for the project;
labor and fire safety sections;
EIA section – calculation of environmental impact of radio frequency emission.

Technology concept

Technology concept – the section includes design drawings associated with performance of a set of operations of antenna-feeder device laying, as well as placement and connection of transceiver equipment.

Architectural and construction concept

Architectural and construction concept – the section includes design drawings associated with performance of a set of construction and assembly operations, as well as drawings of technically simple metal structures of antenna supports.

Metal structures

Metal structures – the section includes design drawings of technically complex structures of antenna supports, such as masts and towers.

Reinforced concrete structures

Reinforced concrete structures – the section includes design drawings associated with performance of a set of operations at installation of basements and ferroconcrete structures of antenna supports.

 

Power supply

Power supply – the section includes design drawings associated with performance of a set of electric installation works, electrical equipment, power supply, electric lighting, grounding and lightning protection of base stations.

VAC (ventilation and air conditioning)

VAC (ventilation and air conditioning) – the section includes calculations and design drawings associated with performance of a set of operations at installation and connection of ventilation and air conditioning systems at base stations.

 

Routine preventive works:

scheduled preventive technical maintenance:
- of antenna and technical structures;
- of technological (telecommunications) and engineering equipment;

unscheduled work, performed on a special request:
- Measures at removal of defects revealed in course of scheduled preventive maintenance, necessary to prevent accidents;
- Measures required in special situations due to acts of god, malicious actions, fire, etc., necessary to prevent accidents;
- Measures at technical re-equipment of operational facilities or dismantlement of equipment.

 

Emergency recovery works at network facilities:

This module covers the following emergency recovery works:
- at process (telecommunications) equipment (inoperable equipment is replaced to a special order of mobile operators);
- at engineering equipment;
- at antenna facilities;
- at engineering facilities.

Extra services:

This module includes management of network facility (base station, unmanned regeneration station, signal center, repeater) contracts:
- follow-on of premises or land lease agreements;
- follow-on of contracts of power supply, mutual settlements for consumed electricity.
